Sad sad, is the easiest way to describe the feelings and reactions from us when we think of the life of these two girls below. They are sisters.
Katie, after going to the ti-wo, or spring not far from the compound and she noticed this one girl who never spoke a word, never smiled, never played, basically she and her sister are the scum of the place. Their parents totally forsook them and left them in the care of grandma. Katie found out where their house is and has been going there to visit them, and this past Saturday had someone do their hair for them. They're always dressed very poor and always get mocked and scorned wherever they go. Katie has also been taking them to church on Sundays as well. The older one is finally starting to speak a few words as well. It's exciting and encouraging to see them coming along. Pray for strength and wisdom for the girls who work with them and love them unconditionally.
The older girl has skin lesions and wouldn't even let Katie look at them, but she is finally letting her work with her. Pray lots for them.
