A preaching trip to Labich!

Brother Darwin has been down here for the last week on a pastoral visit and had been invited to Labich to preach. So, on Sunday evening, several of us men went across the mountains for a special evening service there in Labich!

Prayerfully sitting and listening to a native pastor,
Bro. Darwin waits his turn to preach in Aleg.

When it was his turn he talked about sowing seeds in the lives of our children
and how we need to be continually planting good seeds.

After lunch we headed out to Labich.
It is about a 2 hour drive over the mountains.

Coming over the first mountain ridge we were greeted with many beautiful and breathtaking scenes.

Andrew, Daylo, Nathan and Steve took one machine
while Bro. Darwin and Pastor Levy went in another.

In some places the roads were pretty rough!

The riverbed below often runs dry, but during the rainy season or hurricanes it will fill up to the brim!

Approaching Labich!

The church building in Labich is fairly new...

The evening service started at about 7pm.
There was a nice sized congregation waiting for us.

Pastor Darwin, before preaching...

The service went well and Darwin got to preach a sermon similar to the one he preached in Aleg.

Outside the church a few people listened from the windows...

Monday morning, after much good fellowship and sharing,
we prepared to leave.

But before we left they prepared a wonderful breakfast of spaghetti, fried bananas and boiled eggs for us!

Steve, getting everything ready to go.

Back on the trail again!
The weather was perfect for traveling.

In the riverbed there was a huge market.

It was all closed Sunday evening, but now it was bustling with activity!

An interesting road going up a mountain...

Coming back into familiar territory now!

And so ended our trip to Labich!
